A quick taste of the Australian bush. My Dad and I went camping and collecting firewood in Winter 08 when I snapped these shots.
Some Emus that we saw only metres from where we were camping. They kept out of our way and we definitely kept out of there's. They were only looking for a bit of water.
These are Mallee Fowls, they're notoriously shy animals and it's a rare treat to be able to see one, let alone two, in the wild. My Dad and I managed to get a glimpse of them on our way to going camping.
