Just for now

For the first time in quite awhile I decided to take a short walk around the neighbourhood, camera in hand, because the sun was shining and it seemed like a great way to spend a lazy Sunday. There's a definite change in the air, with a slight chill the onset of Winter is beckoning, much to my dismay and chagrin. It does, however, mean the colours of Autumn are once again reigning supreme. And no can refute that the autumnal hues are unique and rather brilliant.

Dear Diary

I am lucky enough to have a Mum who creates the most wonderful projects and crafts. Her latest hobby is scrapbooking which is particularly rewarding for me when she is kind enough to make me my very own handmade journal. She is an constant source of inspiration and endless creativity. For further proof, I provide you with some rather colourful evidence.

The weekend

I've been studying at University for the last four years of my life. After eight long semesters full of essay-writing, deadlines, time-management (or lack thereof), friends and many a celebratory drink with said friends, my University life culminated with my graduation over the weekend. It was a surreal feeling attending a graduation ceremony that was my own. With friends I'd made throughout those sometimes arduous years, we sat nervously awaiting those 15 seconds it takes to walk across a stage, shake a Chancellor's hand, receive our certificates and proceed to stage right. I was fortunate enough to have my entire family proudly cheering me on from the crowd. A family who is also incredibly generous, giving me the sweetest cards and gifts a girl could dream of. So here is a snapshot of a rather treasured and marvellous weekend.
