Leaving

Last month my sister and her girlfriend packed up their house and moved to Melbourne. Their house was a shambles for the entire packing process which provided the perfect opportunity to take some photos of their vintage furniture and retro kitchen supplies. It was extremely sad to see them leave this sleepy little city, and it will be a little sadder here without them.

They also roped me into helping them tidy up the garden. However, I use the term help lightly given I was taking photos of the tidying and gardening for most of the time.

One fine October day

This long weekend, my sister and I went to visit my Nanna down on the Yorke Peninsula. She lives in the quaintest little house, and I just love wandering around while she tells us stories of days gone by. Her garden is always full of life and vibrant colours. These are just a few photos of the many I took while we were there.

How lovely is her garden?

A splash of colour

These wonderfully bright photos were taken literally two steps from my front door. As per usual, I'm not sure what the plants are called but I absolutely adore the vibrant colours and sunshine that was about the day I took these. Winter in Australia does have its perks, with the sun shining at least a couple of times a week. And these flowers just add a splash of wonder to an otherwise quite drab garden.
