Grey skies and black hearts

Belair National Park

Today I ventured up to Belair National Park in the Adelaide Hills to take some more photos of beautiful native vegetation. It was a grey and very wintery day and I think even the leaves were shivering in the breeze. I'm much more a fan of taking photos of nature and plants in summer with a searing sun and clear blue skies. But to get a taste of nature I must extricate myself from my comfort zone and experience some of Adelaide's beautiful natural surrounds. Here's what I saw and snapped while trekking through the National Park.

On the first day of Winter...

...it rained. It was a miserable, wet and cold start to Winter which is to be expected I guess. I'm always hopeful though of those rare sunny and lukewarm days. It's actually a beautiful day here today, I've taken a couple of photos to show how wonderful it can be in Winter in Australia. I'll post them tomorrow probably. But for now here's a snapshot of the beginning of Winter on a cold June morning.





Here's some of the weeds growing in our backgarden with some dewy drops of water.
