Taken at Cleland Wildlife Park a few months ago. There were all sorts of little critters wandering around and some were more than happy to pose for a few photos.

Like an animal

There's more to the Cleland Wildlife Park than just cute little furry animals. While I was traipsing around the park I stumbled across more than one pretty little flower and lots of beautiful native trees.

















But - it can't be disputed - there's a lot of colourful and cute animals wandering around the area. I've posted about a few of them before but here's some more to add to the collection.

The fun of native fauna

I took these photos awhile ago now, and entered them into a competition and considering they didn't get too far I figure I can now post about them! There's definitely an upside to everything. So here are my favourite photos and little critters from the Cleland Wildlife Park up in the Adelaide Hills. The photos I'll be posting up in the next few weeks or so will probably all be harking back to earlier months because I'm pretty flat out for the next month or so between uni, work and I've also lined up a couple of weeks of work experience so some of my older photos may be popping up around here to compensate for my lack of photographing at the moment!

Where the wild things are

I snapped these cute little critters when I was at the Cleland Wildlife Park last week. There were a couple of different aviaries set up with beautiful native Australian birds fluttering around. It was a real treat to be able to see native animals that would be virtually impossible to come across in the wild.






And how cute is this little guy? He let me get really close to him. That's one of the great things about the conservation park - the animals are quite adapt to seeing and interacting with humans so they're pretty friendly!







And these cute little fellows are bettongs who are sometimes called rat kangaroos. They're absolutely adorable though and they were everywhere at the conservation park! Once they got used to me, they were quite happy to come over and suss me out and were just hopping around next to me the whole time.







Even the little baby bettong was curious about why I was there but he was much more bashful than the rest.
