Some photos from when I was at the botanical gardens the other day. They're a view of some of the suburbs around Adelaide from the hills on a chilly Autumn day. There's also some of the random photos that I really wanted to post about but don't really fall into a category or a group of any kind.

Bird on a Wire
No, I'm not making a 90's movie reference and nor am I referring to one of Leonard Cohen's most famous songs. But I am talking about a few birds that I saw perched on a wire when I went for a walk today. They always look so at ease and graceful sitting there on the thinnest of cables. I admire their comfort and grace and the excellent view they most have up there.

A Little Ray of Sunshine
When I was walking around the neighbourhood the other day to take some photos I obliviously walked past these stunning flowers. There's only a handful of them growing in a nature strip right next to the road. It was only on my way back home that I noticed them growing not a few feet from my front door!
Bare
These are two different types of trees that I saw when I was taking a walk around my new neighbourhood. They're so completely bare and stark, already stripped by the chill of winter. I guess I just really love seeing mother nature at work with some trees still clinging vainly to summer with their leaves and others like these, preparing early for the cold months ahead.

Nostalgia
I think we're well overdue for another post of polaroids! I've mentioned this a lot already but I do love the instant satisfaction and the nostalgia that polaroids seem to conjure. It's like immediate memories.
A Weekend Away
These are photos from a roadtrip my friend's and I took to the Fleurieu Peninsula, where we went to Victor Harbor and Port Elliot. They're both stunning parts of Australia, with beautiful beaches, great weather and some of the best wineries. We went to an adventure playground (which was endless fun!), to the beaches of some of the towns, wine tasting and to markets. It was a great weekend full of wonderful weather, good company and idyllic surrounds.
