Nature I do adore you

I know this is still plant related but these were taken at my new house, not in the botanical gardens. So still a slight difference from the monotony of the last few posts! This is becoming a recurring theme, but I'm not sure exactly what kind of plant this is, I just really like it because it's a bit different. Not your usual flower.











And these are growing just next to that plant. Again, I'm not sure what they're called but they caught my attention. They're rather odd looking plants don't you think?
